Three join Shoosmiths' Edinburgh office

Legal firm Shoosmiths has announced a trio of new appointments in the Real Estate, Litigation and Employment teams.

Mandy Soppitt has joined Shoosmiths as a professional support lawyer in the Real Estate team. She has 18 years of legal expertise in real estate and property, including eight as a PSL in real estate with Burness Paull. She will complement the UK-wide PSL team led by Peter Williams, dealing with precedent development, training and knowledge management.

Ailie McGowan has joined from BLM as a solicitor in the Litigation team. A specialist in property damage, product liability, policy indemnity and breach of contract claims, she has advised leading UK insurers and multinational businesses.

Eilidh Wood, who has previously worked in the legal team for the Council of Europe (Strasbourg) and who recently completed her traineeship, becomes a solicitor in the Employment team.
