Two family partner hires for Aberdein Considine

8th November 2017 | careers , practice management

Legal firm Aberdein Considine has appointed two additional family law partners and moved its Stirling office to new larger premises.

April Campbell, a former associate at Jeffrey Aitken, will lead the firm's matrimonial and family law operation in Stirling and Glasgow, while Karl Brown, a founding partner of Aberdeen practice Murray & Brown, has joined Aberdein Considine’s family law team in its headquarters in the city.

The firm describes its new two-storey premises in Port Street, Stirling as te first of a "new generation" of high street operations, combining estate agency, legal and independent financial services. The office will be led by the firm’s Stirling partners, Anthony Quin and Philip Anderson, who both joined Aberdein Considine following its 2014 merger with Muirhead Buchanan.

Former Aitken Nairn partner Phil Harris has also joined the Stirling office as an associate in residential property.

Managing partner Jacqueline Law commented: “Our expansion in Stirling underlines our commitment to the high street, where we now have a more diverse range of expertise on offer than ever before.

“The way that people choose a professional adviser is changing, particularly in estate agency, where some people have been lured by a veil of low fixed fees.

“We truly believe that it is in the public’s best interest to deal with expert local professionals who can offer market knowledge together with strong digital marketing.”
