Two June events to be held by SYLA
The Scottish Young Lawyers' Association has announced two upcoming joint events in Glasgow and Edinburgh respectively.
On Wednesday 8 June, a joint event with RICS matrics, the professional body for young surveyors, will be held entitled "The UK's EU Referendum: what will the impact be for lawyers and surveyors?" It will feature Bill Drummond, managing partner of Brodies LLP, and Douglas Smith, chairman of CBRE. Sponsored by Brodies and Malcolm Hollis, it takes place in the Radisson Blu Hotel, Argyle Street, Glasgow from 5.30pm for a 6pm start. The event will be followed by a drinks reception and finger buffet, and spaces are limited.
On Tuesday 28 June there will be a joint lecture with the SSC Society and the Society of Solicitor Advocates, featuring Lady Smith, President of Scottish Tribunals, who will discuss the progress of the Scottish Courts & Tribunals Service. Taking place in court 1 at Parliament House, Edinburgh, it will be followed by a buffet supper, at a cost of £15 per head, which will be served in the SSC Library.
