Two new partners lead 19 BTO promotions

9th April 2019 | careers

Two associates have been promoted to partner at BTO Solicitors, as the firm announces a total of 19 promotions – also including 15 new senior associates and two associates.

The new partners are Lynn Richmond, an intellectual property and technology, data protection and online reputation specialist based in Edinburgh, and Glasgow based Lynne Cardow, who handles professional liability claims.

Lawyers promoted to senior associate in BTO’s Glasgow office are: Audrey Blair (residential property), Marjory Blair and Denise Laverty (families and individuals), Marion Davis (corporate, social housing and charities), Joanne Farrell and Jennifer Stewart (personal injury claims), Lesley Gray, Marieclaire Reid and Donnie Robertson (real estate), Mark McCluskie (insurance disputes), Kirsteen MacLean (commercial dispute resolution and insolvency), Andrew Phillips (health and safety, and crime) and Douglas Strang (employment). In Edinburgh, senior associate promotions are awarded to Elaine Del Valle (residential property) and Karen Stachura (professional liability).

Emma Barclay (corporate, Glasgow) and Debbie Reekie (families and individuals, Edinburgh) have both moved up to associate level.

BTO’s new chairman David Gibson commented: “We are focused on recognising and developing talent at BTO and on encouraging new talent to join the firm in what is an exciting new phase in the firm’s strategic plan. These promotions, which cross a diverse range of specialisms, are evidence of the positive developments taking place across the firm and each one is testament to the valuable contribution these individuals make daily to their clients, to their colleagues, and to the BTO business as a whole.”
