Two new sheriffs for the north
Two new sheriffs for Grampian, Highland & Islands have been chosen.
Chris Dickson and Olga Pasportnikov were appointed by the Queen following a report to the First Minister by the Judicial Appointments Board for Scotland.
A partner and head of the advocacy unit at Anderson Strathern LLP, Mr Dickson is a graduate of the University of Edinburgh and was admitted as a solicitor in 2004. He qualified as a civil solicitor advocate in 2008 and gained criminal rights of audience in 2011.
Ms Pasportnikov, a University of Dundee graduate, was admitted as a solicitor in 1991. She worked mainly in private practice before joining the Law Society of Scotland in 1998. She has been with the Crown Office & Procurator Fiscal Service since 2003, and is also current convener of the Fife Young Carers Management Committee.
