Two partners among six promotions at Shepherd & Wedderburn
Legal firm Shepherd & Wedderburn has promoted two of its lawyers to partner and four to legal director, with effect from 1 May 2019.
Judith Stephenson, a property and infrastructure specialist who joined the firm’s Glasgow office as an associate in 2014, and private client and tax specialist Douglas Sinclair, who joined Shepherd & Wedderburn as a trainee in 2005, have both been assumed as partners.
These promotions take the number of Shepherd & Wedderburn partners to 80.
The four promoted to legal director are property and infrastructure specialists Kirsteen Milne, a construction lawyer who is also qualified in England & Wales; Euan Murray, again dual qualified; commercial property lawyer George McKinlay; and Lesley Proctor, who focuses on renewable energy among other transactions.
Shepherd & Wedderburn's managing partner-elect Andrew Blain, who also takes up his new post on 1 May, commented: "These well-deserved promotions recognise the specialist skills of our lawyers, their in-depth knowledge of the sectors in which they operate and their willingness to go the extra mile on behalf of clients. We wish them every success as they embark on the next stage of their careers at Shepherd & Wedderburn and continue to build upon their already considerable achievements."
