Two partners join Harper Macleod's Edinburgh office
Two new partners have joined Harper Macleod's Edinburgh office as the law firm prepares to move to new larger premises in the capital.
Jennifer Jack moves from DWF, where she headed the firm’s local and central government sector team in Scotland. She is a dispute resolution specialist with extensive experience advising clients in the public sector, as well as carrying out human rights work.
Sophie Coffey, who joins from Brodies, will enhance Harper Macleod’s banking & finance and restructuring teams in the capital. She brings a wide range of experience in advising clients on Scottish, cross-border and renewables transactions.
Later this month the firm will move from Melville Street into new offices at Citypoint, Haymarket, tripling its office space in the city.
Chief executive Martin Darroch commented: “Jennifer and Sophie bring strong skillsets which complement what we already have throughout the firm. Their areas of expertise are ones in which we see real potential for continued growth, particularly in Edinburgh and the east of Scotland. We have shown our commitment to increase our share of the market by expanding our operations across Scotland, and there will be more to come."
