United Employment Lawyers network expands south

29th July 2015 | employment , practice management

United Employment Lawyers, the network of employment law firms set up in Edinburgh in 2013, is expanding into England & Wales.

UEL, which already has over 30 Scottish law firm members, has been joined by a number of English firms who share its approach and ethos to handling employment law matters.

Chairman and founder Malcolm Mackay said: “We are delighted to welcome a number of English firms to
the UEL network. Our aim was always to create a national UK network, since employment regulations are the same for the whole of the UK. We’ve proven a collaborative approach, delivered locally can prosper in Scotland. Now our English colleagues will help us build UEL into a truly national network of expert lawyers delivering advice to employers.”

Among its early members south of the border, David Harris of DPH Legal, employment law specialists based in the Thames Valley, commented: “The close relationship between practitioners and the support and benefits provided by UEL to member firms will ensure high levels of expertise will be readily accessible to employers throughout the UK requiring advice on any employment issue.”
