Urquharts hires private client partner and manager

23rd January 2018 | careers

Edinburgh legal practice Urquharts has announced a double private client hire from national firm Shoosmiths.

Sara Smith has joined as a partner while Neil McNab becomes a private client manager.

Ms Smith, who once worked at Urquharts prior to beginning her legal traineeship with Shoosmiths' legacy firm Archibald Campbell & Harley, is now dual qualified in England & Wales. Latterly at Shoosmiths she was a senior associate in the wealth protection department.

With 25 years' experience in the sector, Mr McNab's areas of expertise include tax planning and trust and estate administration.

Welcoming the pair, Urquharts' senior partner Roderick Urquhart commented: "Their addition enhances our ability to deliver a first class legal service to our many private clients. At a time when there are fewer smaller law firms remaining in the city centre, we see that as a positive advantge for us. Our clients welcome our size and the high level of personal care we do provide."
