Alison Pryde

Director
Anderson Strathern

Alison is a Chartered Tax Advisor having trained and worked within the Big 4 accountancy firms for many years before moving to a law firm. Alison focuses on providing proactive tax planning for high net worth individuals, trusts, estate and land owners, family owned businesses and individuals moving to and from the UK.

Alison’s experience allows her to advise on a broad range of taxes including inheritance tax, capital gains tax, income tax and Land and Building Transaction Tax. Alison has a particular interest in inheritance tax planning and has worked with landowners to maximise inheritance tax reliefs prior to diversification of the business and advises on how farming and let properties should be held to secure available reliefs. Shareholder tax planning is another area in which Alison has considerable experience and she enjoys working with family businesses to maximise the value that they can extract from the business.

Beyond work Alison is a keep fit addict and can regularly be found on a spin bike in the gym. When she is feeling a bit less energetic Alison enjoys a night at the theatre or the cinema.
