Andrea Steer

A Chartered Safety Practitioner with over 25 years industry experience, Andrea spent 17 years working for a global healthcare organisation, acting as Health, Safety & Wellbeing Manager in the HR senior management team.

In 2017 Andrea moved into a consultant role for Zurich Resilience Solutions working with a broad range of commercial clients managing liability risks whilst leading on health and wellbeing programmes for the Zurich business.

The Covid-19 pandemic resulted in a refocus of Andrea’s role and she was given responsibility for developing Zurich’s Health and Wellbeing proposition for the commercial market. In this time Andrea successfully launched a stress/mental health assessment and strategic Health & Wellbeing healthcheck, the first of its kind within the insurance sector. She participated in various round table events and contributed to articles relating to the ongoing impact of the pandemic on employee health.

Andrea continues to keep abreast of the employee wellbeing agenda and how this influences employee engagement, happiness and productivity in the workplace and continues to build her professional knowledge through ongoing education and awareness.
