Anne McKechnie
Anne McKechnie is an independent consultant forensic and clinical psychologist. Until 2018, Anne worked for over 30 years with the National Health Service, specialising latterly in the impact and treatment of trauma in female offenders. Alongside consulting on trauma-informed practice to the Scottish Child Abuse Inquiry, Anne and her colleagues within FCPsyServices offer a clinical forensic psychology service to Scottish Courts and Children’s Secure Care Services.
During her career, Anne has served as psychology member of the Scottish Parole Board and has been co-opted onto various Scottish Government advisory groups, including A Time To Be Heard, the pilot forum for survivors of In Care abuse.
Anne frequently delivers teaching and training on the impact of trauma at all levels and has a particular interest in the how organisations incorporate knowledge of mental health and trauma into work practice.
