Daniel Johnson MSP
Daniel is Scottish Labour’s Shadow Cabinet Secretary for Economy, Business and Fair Work, leading in developing Labour’s policy and approach to economic growth and its relationship with business. Prior to entering politics, he was Managing Director of the Paper Tiger and Studio One group of stores in Edinburgh. He began his career working as a management consultant for Accenture in their Financial Services practice: working for clients in capital markets and retail banking.
He is currently supporting Scottish Labour’s Economic Advisory Board, which published Building a Business Case for Scotland which outlines Labour’s partnership based approach to working with business to grow the economy and maximise our potential. Since then he has published Skills Scotland, highlighting Scottish Labour’s approach to reforming the skills system so it is better aligned to the needs of the economy and Scottish Labour’s technology consultation, towards a strategy for inclusion, innovation and growth.
