Dr Johanna Hoekstra

Lecturer in Commercial Law
University of Edinburgh

Johanna Hoekstra is a lecturer in commercial law at the University of Edinburgh. Previously, she worked as a lecturer at the University of Essex and at the University of Greenwich. She is a member of the Global Business and Human Rights Scholars Association and an associate member of the Business, Human Rights, and Environment Research Group at the University of Greenwich.

Johanna’s researches in the areas of business & human rights and in international contract law with a focus on dispute resolution. She has published extensively in both areas. Johanna holds a PhD in Law from the University of Essex, an MSc in European Public Policy from Birkbeck College and a Master’s in international law from the University of Bordeaux.
