Hermione Hague
I am a technology and privacy lawyer and have experience in legal technology going back to 2009 when I was project manager at McGrigors involved in the successful implementation of a CRM system. This year, I taught on the legal technology elective at the University of Glasgow and I am course organiser responsible for the IP elective at the University of Edinburgh, which I have run for 7 years. I also teach and have run courses on the Information Technology LLM programme at the University of Edinburgh.
I have worked in the tech sector since 1999 when I was in-house legal counsel for boo.com, Turner Broadcasting (working on early digital television platforms) and setting up the mobile phone network, 3. I provide consultancy services via Vario and AndCo Law. Recent projects include working on secondment for an Edinburgh business school and a charity supporting Scotland’s heritage sites and advising fintech and cryptocurrency businesses and a VR/ XR platform for the creative industries.
