Jack Barsky
Born and raised in East Germany, Jack was recruited by the KGB while attending college.
After several years of training he was launched to the U.S. as a deep cover agent.
Having spied for the Soviet Union for 10 years, he severed his relationship with the KGB
and withdrew into private life. Nine years later the FBI discovered him - which makes the
19 years he lived as an illegal in the U.S. a record among undercover KGB agents in our
country. When finally apprehended by the FBI Jack cooperated fully, and in 2014 he
became a proud U.S. Citizen.
Jack had a very successful career in information technology as a technician, manager and
senior executive. He attributes his success in managing people and leading teams to a
great number of skills that made him a very successful spy. He is now ready and willing to
share his often unique insights, helping others to achieve similar levels of success.
His incredible story has been featured on CBS "60 Minutes" and in countless podcasts, as
well on major international TV stations, consistently driving millions of views. His memoir
Deep Undercover was translated into German, Swedish and Polish. The award-winning
podcast / audio drama “The Agent," which is based on his life, has fascinated legions of
listeners and has consistently placed in the top 100 of all Apple podcasts.
As an expert on espionage and Russia, Jack has become a much sought-after analyst by
cable news stations, among others ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, MSNBC, Fox News, Newsmax and
the BBC. He is also a highly sought-after speaker for companies and organizations around
the world, having made over 150 public appearances to date.
