James Dunbar
James Dunbar is a Principal Procurator Fiscal Depute at the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service. He has over ten years’ experience as a prosecutor, both at summary and solemn level, and has worked within several specialist units. He was previously a solicitor in private practice, specialising in criminal defence work, but was also instructed in relation to civil, family law and private client work.
James also has extensive experience in legal research, analysis and writing, having previously served as Judicial Assistant to the Lord Justice Clerk at the Court of Criminal Appeal.
James assisted in the creation and development of Online Criminal Litigation Course on the Diploma in Professional Legal Practice at Robert Gordon University, where he has lectured and tutored in Criminal Litigation since 2017.
