Jonathan Evans

Jonathan has worked in the field of digital identity for almost 15 years. Initially for Post Office where he was the head of identity, responsible for Post Office’s flagship GOV.UK Verify service and business development activities. In March 2019 he moved to Digidentity where he has held a number of roles with the focus of driving the company’s expansion in the UK market.

He has occupied several board member positions and is a regular speaker and contributor to working groups and conferences advocating the advancement and adoption of digital identity and digital signatures.

Jonathan holds a master’s degree in intellectual history and political thought. He is a strong proponent of standards-based persistent digital identity and identity wallets and their role in empowering and protecting the individual.
