Katie MacKay

Katie was brought up in the crofting township of Bernisdale and educated locally before heading off to Glasgow to complete her studies.  She initially undertook a BA (Hons) in Strathclyde Business School followed by an LL.B. degree at the University of Strathclyde. Upon completion of her studies, she returned to Skye and started working in the Kyle office of the then named Ferguson MacSween & Stewart.  She became a partner of the firm in 2013 and a Director of FMS Law Limited with effect from 1^st April 2023 when the firm changed to a limited company. Katie now works out of our Portree office. 

Katie is married and lives with her husband on his croft in Fiscavaig. If you can’t find them at home there then they are more than likely to be found travelling around, usually somewhere colder than home, in Scandinavia and all the other colder parts of the northern hemisphere.
