Katie Stein
Katie has been a chartered surveyor since 2003 and has worked in a wide range of sectors including both commerical and rural property. She has worked previously for private estates, multinational property companies and national conservation charities. Her breadth of experience across locations, sectors and organisations means that she has walked in the shoes of her clients and is able to provide thought leadership and research that is highly relevant and relatable to rural estates.
Katie now specialises her research with the rural built environment, focusing on policy change for residential lettings and energy efficiency as well as supporting the natural capital team in providing baseline data. She led the Savills spotlight publication of Rural Homes, which looked at the current challenges to the residential elements of rural estates. Katie is also reseraching social value and how it is relevant to rural estates, which has developed from her work in ESG strategy creation.
Originally from rural Warwickshire, Katie now lives in North Devon where she enjoys time on the beach, walking the coast path and road cycling across Exmoor and
