Linzi Penman is a technology lawyer with vast experience advising international private and public companies on IT, commercial, and data protection issues, particularly across the Financial Services, Consumer Goods, Retail, Media and Entertainment sectors. She was promoted to Partner in May 2023 after joining DLA Piper in 2015.
Linzi's expertise stands out through her leadership on significant outsourcing and technology client projects valued in the hundreds of millions of pounds. Her innovative use of Design Thinking and Lean Six Sigma processes ensures tailored solutions for each client, reflecting her deep understanding of their needs.
Based in Edinburgh, Linzi works closely with colleagues in London, Amsterdam, Madrid and Washington D.C. after spending time on secondment there. She plays a crucial role in international data protection compliance projects, inputting on various matters including AdTech and data transfers and negotiating with Silicon Valley tech giants to align with her clients' risk profiles and global data protection regulations.
