Mhairi Maguire

As Head of Legal and Corporate Governance, and Company Secretary, Mhairi is responsible for a diverse portfolio and directorate covering all corporate governance and internal legal matters. A qualified solicitor, and a Law Society of Scotland Certified Specialist in Risk Management and Governance, Mhairi previously worked in the private sector before joining ENABLE Scotland in 2012.

She provides support to the ENABLE Scotland group of charities, and directly manages ENABLE Trustee Service, a discretionary trust management arm of the organisation which has £12.5m under management for people who have a learning disability. The Legal and Corporate Governance directorate also provides advice and support to the ENABLE Group in relation to data protection, health and safety and compliance.

Having joined the Board of the University of Strathclyde Students’ Association as a Trustee in 2017, she is now Vice-Chair of the Board. Mhairi regularly speaks at events for in-house solicitors and women in the law with the Law Society of Scotland, she formerly sat on the Law Society of Scotland’s Mental Health and Disability Committee.
