Nicola Watson

Partner
Aberdein Considine

Nicola is a Partner at Aberdein Considine and works from the firm’s Glasgow office. She is also responsible for the family offering in the Stirling office.

Nicola has trained and worked exclusively in family law throughout her career. With over ten years of experience, she is adept in acting for clients in a wide variety of family law matters. She routinely advises clients in respect of child law cases including relocation and education disputes; divorce and separation with complex financial provision concerns; and pre/post nuptial agreements and cohabitation agreements. Nicola is also experienced in assisting clients with guardianships and powers of attorney. Nicola has been involved in actions with jurisdictional issues, both intra-UK and internationally. She is Accredited by the Law Society of Scotland as a Family Law Specialist. Nicola is also trained in both collaborative practice and mediation. She is accredited by the Law Society of Scotland as a Specialist in Family Mediation. Nicola is a keen advocate for alternative methods of dispute resolution, recognising the clear benefits that a well negotiated outcome can bring for clients both in the immediate and longer term.

Clients have described Nicola as “professional, organised and confident” recognising her as someone who is “thoroughly prepared” and offering “clear and pragmatic advice.”
