Sarah Lilley

Based in Inverness, Sarah is the only 'triple accredited' family law solicitor north of Aberdeen, holding accreditations from the Law Society of Scotland in child law, family law and family law mediation. She is also one of only 2 family law solicitors across the Highlands of Scotland to be certified by the Law Society of Scotland in trauma-informed law. Sarah is also a member of Consensus Scotland, CALM Scotland, the Family Law Association and serves as a Director of Relationships Scotland – Family Mediation Highland. She is also a Director of the Inverness Chamber of Commerce.

Sarah has 15 years of experience in practising exclusively in family law initially in Aberdeen and Edinburgh with the past 11 years having been spent in Inverness. In July 2020 Sarah joined Brodies and, in doing so, became the firm's first family law solicitor in the Highlands & Islands. Sarah became a partner in May 2022 and now leads a team of three family law solicitors based in Inverness. Sarah has particular expertise in high conflict disputes relating to children and has been appointed by Inverness and Tain Sheriff Courts to prepare numerous child welfare and curatrix ad litem reports in recent years. She is also regularly instructed in complex international matters.
