After a 35-year career in banking with RBS, I took time out in 2020 to look at building and developing my own training and management consultancy business. This saw me working and consulting with law firms throughout Scotland on developing commercial efficiencies in legal practices to allow them to develop their brand and place in the marketplace. I also write and deliver financial training skills courses on behalf of CLT Scotland with their trainees and similar training on behalf of the Law Society of Scotland members from young associates through to partners. In addition, I advise on the Law Society’s new partner induction training program as well as lecturing to the trainee CPD program on commercial awareness in law firms. I joined Balfour+Manson in April 2023 as their Chief Operating Officer.

I work closely with the Finance Director and Partners in the firm to implement and progress their business strategy and deliver in-house training on the broader commerciality aspect of running a modern successful growing Legal practice.

When I am not at work I enjoy time with my family, playing snooker, running my annual charity sports quiz and fulfilling my passion for golf. Also enjoy sports podcasts listening to music (I can’t hold a tune personally!) and watching most sports.
