Stephanie Hepburn
Stephanie heads up Shepherd and Wedderburn’s contentious executry practice. She has particular expertise in advising on the management and resolution of disputes on the validity of wills, proving the tenor of lost wills and the proper interpretation of certain bequests in wills.
She has also developed a niche specialism in relation to executry disputes affecting parties in the agricultural and rural sectors, particularly in relation to the succession to agricultural and crofting tenancies and rights of common grazings, and in executry disputes arising from family farming partnerships.
Stephanie has also acted in a number of judicial factor cases, advising judicial factors and beneficiaries on a number of matters, including the duties of judicial factors to pursue litigation in insolvent estates and applications to the Sheriff Court for approval of schemes of division.
