Dr Steven Maxwell has 20 years experience of working within the health field, specifically as a mental health clinician in the NHS. He has an MSc, teaching accredited qualification and a PhD in Global Public Health from UCL, which focused on health inequalities among minority communities. Latterly in his career he has focused on doing teaching and research work in higher education at the likes of King’s College London and University of Glasgow, with a focus on LGBTQ+ inter-sectional inequity and wider mental health.  He also provides inclusion and wellbeing consultancy support, covering a range of areas from equality, equity, unconscious bias, working across cultures, mental health resilience and inter-sectional wellbeing.
