HM Treasury published a consultation on improving the effectiveness of the Money Laundering, Terrorist Financing and Transfer of Funds (Information on the Payer) Regulations 2017 to consider changes to improve the regulations, while minimising burdens on legitimate customers.
We have responded to the HM Revenue and Customs consultation: Raising standards in the tax advice market: strengthening the regulatory framework and improving registration. The consultation has been considered by our Tax Committee and the Regulatory Committee.
