Following up last year’s, Rethinking Legal Aid report, the Scottish Government launched its consultation on legal aid reform on 27 June 2019. This event will focus on the implications for criminal legal aid practitioners and the work carried out by the criminal legal aid committee to engage with policymakers and the profession on a variety of different issues.
Other key and timely issues – such as working with vulnerable clients, disclosure and the use of interpreters will be addressed from a variety of perspectives.
