Law Society pays tribute to Council member David Mair

All of us at the Law Society are deeply saddened by the news of the death of our friend and Council member, David Mair.

Law Society President, Murray Etherington said, “David was truly part of the fabric of the Law Society of Scotland. Serving on our Council, Board, Regulatory Committee and Public Policy Committee, few worked more broadly than David in the service of the Scottish solicitor profession.

“A skilled in-house lawyer, David was passionate about a successful legal sector and the importance of the Law Society’s role within it. We will miss his friendship, his good humour, his dedication and insight.

“All our thoughts are with David’s family and friends as well as his colleagues at Glasgow City Council at this sad time.”
