What's the scam?
We have been informed of scam emails being sent to law firms looking very similar to a genuine LMS Charge Registration email.
LMS has reported the matter to the Action Fraud and is advising its customers and partners of the incident.
What should you do?
Customers/partners of LMS should be vigilant and check that messages that appear to be sent by LMS are actually originated from @lms.com. If unsure please contact LMS IT Support on 0343 221 0610
Do not click on any links contained in the emails
If you suspect a fraud, or other internet crime, remember to report it on the Action Fraud website.
Where a fraud or scam has actually taken place, it should be reported directly to Police Scotland.
