In-house Lawyers Committee vacancies
The In-house Lawyers Committee (ILC) is recruiting up to five new members - here's why you should apply!
The ILC is a very active committee of the Law Society of Scotland. It aims to:
- Engage with in-house solicitors and trainees, ensuring the Law Society understands and serves their professional needs.
- Promote the interests and status of in-house solicitors and trainees.
- Encourage and assist in the development of better training of solicitors and trainees working in-house.
- Promote the value of employing in-house solicitors and trainees to organisations which do not currently employ them.
As an ILC member, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the fantastic work of the committee, including collaborating with the Society to deliver events; helping to produce relevant content for in-house lawyers; responding to consultations; and representing the ILC at external forums. It’s also a great way to enhance your own profile; learn new practical skills; and network with fellow in-house professionals.
The deadline has been extended slightly until noon on Tuesday 22 November 2016. If you have any questions please contact Beth Anderson on 0131 476 8132.
Our committees carry out vital work on a range of issues to do with improving the law and legal practice as well as protecting the public interest. We currently have vacancies on several other committees and would strongly encourage in-house solicitors to apply.
Working in-house
In-house lawyers make a critical contribution to the success of the companies and organisations that employ them. If you work in-house, we want to hear from you.
