Journal online integration
Throughout 2019 we have made time to celebrate the Law Society’s platinum anniversary and everything the profession has achieved over the last seven decades.
The Journal, our award-winning monthly publication is just seven years younger, with members receiving their first ever copy of the magazine in 1956. The Journal online was launched in 2004 and has become a key source of legal news for members, law students and members of the public – so far this year there have been almost half a million page views.
There is nothing as constant as change and that is particularly true in the digital world. So later this month, you can expect to see a big change when you visit the Journal online.
The site will not only have a fresh new look and feel, it will sit within the body of the Law Society website – so visitors can navigate the content more easily, using the same menu paths and mechanisms as they are familiar with at www.lawscot.org.uk.
Peter Nicholson, editor of the Journal, said, “The online element of the Journal complements the magazine and allows us to provide our users with daily and dynamic updates, whether they are at their desks, commuting or catching up on their reading at home.
“Combining this important source of news with the Law Society’s website, will bring together a huge variety of content in one place, enhancing the user experience for members, students, other stakeholders and the public. We are all excited about the change and look forward to hearing visitor views.”
