New and prospective lawyers’ opinions wanted for Law Society of Scotland survey

The Law Society of Scotland is seeking feedback from law students, trainees and new lawyers on the support and services provided for trainee solicitors in Scotland and how they could be improved.

The results of the survey, which will close on Wednesday 13 April, will help to shape the Society’s Education, Training and Qualifications work going forward.

Liz Campbell, Executive Director of Education, Training and Qualifications at the Law Society, said: “This is a great opportunity for new solicitors, current trainees and students to influence future policy and reflect on the support they’ve received from the Law Society during their career so far.

“We provide a range of services for new and prospective lawyers including networking and career building opportunities and information on regulatory processes as well as support and guidance. Feedback from the people using those services is vital and we want to know what services have been most helpful, how we could help more in the future and, importantly, what we could have done better.

“I would like to encourage all new lawyers up to five years qualified, trainees and law students to fill in the survey and make their voices heard.”
