Law Society pays tribute to Past President Denys Andrews
The Law Society of Scotland has paid tribute to former president William Denys Cathcart Andrews CBE WS, who passed away on 1 July 2019.
John Mulholland, President of the Law Society, said: “We are very saddened to hear of the death of Denys Andrews and extend our condolences to his family at this sad time.
“Denys made an enormous contribution to his chosen profession, both in practice at Shepherd and Wedderburn, where he was made partner in 1962, and during his time as President of the Law Society of Scotland and as a member of the Land Tribunal for Scotland. In 1980 he was awarded a CBE in recognition of his work on behalf of the legal profession.
“Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones."
W Denys C Andrews CBE WS served as Law Society of Scotland President from 1978 to 1979.
