Six Scottish solicitors granted extended rights of audience by our Council to become Solicitor Advocates have been introduced to the Court at a ceremony on Tuesday 20 August 2019.
Following the ceremony the new solicitor advocates will be allowed to exercise their extended rights in the higher civil courts.
Our President, John Mulholland, invited Lady Wolffe to administer the Declaration of Allegiance to the solicitor advocates during the ceremony on Tuesday.
John said, “This was my first solicitor advocate ceremony as President and it really was an honour to be part of this very special occasion. I am extremely proud of the hard work and commitment that Scotland’s newest solicitor advocates have shown. I’m delighted to celebrate their achievements and the Law Society will continue to provide support as they embark on the next stage of their legal careers. Congratulations to all!”
