Law Society of Scotland pays tribute to Iain Doran
The Law Society of Scotland has paid tribute to Scottish solicitor Iain Doran who recently passed away.
The President of the Law Society of Scotland, Susan Murray, said: “I was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of former Law Society Committee member Iain Doran.
“Iain was an active and much valued member of our Tax Law Committee for over 20 years and his work on behalf of the Society, his solicitor colleagues and the clients they serve will be long remembered.
“Iain’s legal knowledge and expertise, particularly in the field of commercial property, were widely respected across the profession and by the many stakeholders he worked with. His lengthy service as a committee member demonstrated his commitment and generosity of spirit, and his significant and varied contributions were always delivered in a friendly and helpful manner.
“Iain will be sadly missed by his friends and colleagues at the Society and across the legal profession. Our sincerest condolences go to his family, friends and colleagues.”
