Gillespie Macandrew puts its money on the horses again

7th June 2016 | Sport

Legal firm Gillespie Macandrew has renewed its partnership with the Hopetoun International Horse Trials, as the event’s headline sponsor for the sixth consecutive year.

The firm has sponsored the event, which now has a leading place in the Scottish equestrian calendar, since its inception in 2011. It takes place against the backdrop of the Hopetoun estate and 17th century stately home.

Lord Hopetoun sees the trials as Hopetoun’s flagship event, while for Gillespie Macandrew, it provides a unique opportunity to entertain clients and their families in a relaxed, non-business environment.

Partner Robert Scott-Dempster commented: “It has always been a privilege to be part of the Hopetoun Horse Trials. We value the long-standing personal relationships Gillespie Macandrew has with the rural business community, and the Hopetoun event with its informal yet professional approach embraces that perfectly.”

Event director Stuart Buntine added: “Our guiding principle is to provide a top quality event to match this fabulous setting. This year, Hopetoun will also include the Tri Star Grand Slam in its programme for the first time, making it a ‘must attend’ event for the world’s best eventers as they bid to win the £50,000 prize pot that the Grand Slam offers.”

Taking place from Thursday 16-Sunday 19 June, this year’s Hopetoun event also offers a family dog show, stalls selling everything from high end country clothing to artisan beefburgers, dog agility and an array of children’s entertainers.
