Katherine is a qualified lawyer who spent five years working in the Legal team at NatWest. Katherine always had a keen personal interest in climate and environmental issues, so was a founder of the NatWest Legal ESG Working Group in 2019. This Group brought together lawyers across the bank to look at how we could support the bank’s ESG priorities and protect the bank from associated risk. In January 2021, Katherine moved out of legal and into a new role, focused on embedding and driving positive climate action throughout our Retail (Personal) Banking business. Katherine now works in helping NatWest’s customers and business in the transition to net zero. Her role also involves managing climate risks and climate-related disclosures. Katherine is also the Communications Lead for the Sustainable Futures Network, a NatWest employee led network with the aim of helping colleagues embed sustainability at work and in their daily lives.
