Lorraine Currie

Director
Anderson Strathern

Lorraine is one of only five accredited specialists in data protection and freedom of information law in Scotland. With over 15 years of experience in her field, she advises both public and private sector clients including regulators, law enforcement agencies, colleges and universities, as well as private individuals, companies and estates.

Lorraine previously worked for the Scottish Information Commissioner for eight years, experience invaluable in shaping her practise. She has been a guest lecturer at the University of Glasgow in FOI law. For the last 10 years she has regularly led masterclass sessions and spoken at major information law conferences and events, and has tailored bespoke training packages for public authorities, civil society and media.

She has held a number of voluntary positions, including as an Area Convener for Children’s Hearings, and as a member of the Law Society of Scotland’s Practising Certificate Sub-Committee.

In her free time, Lorraine finds peace by wandering along beaches in all weathers, and will never lose her love of ice skating.
