Lucia Clark

Partner
Morton Fraser MacRoberts

With over 15 years' experience in family law, Lucia understands the stresses that separation bring.  She is passionate about resolving family and child disputes in the best way possible for each individual, whether through negotiation, mediation or litigation.

Lucia is a dual-qualified lawyer (England/Wales and Scotland) and helps clients in complex cross-border cases.  She advises on matters of jurisdiction, and has acted for clients based in the U.S., Asia, Middle East and Australia, including ex-pats.

She also has considerable experience and interest in the niche area of farming divorce, and can advise farmers or spouses on the particular issues faced by them on relationship breakdown.

As an accredited mediator with the Law Society of Scotland and a member of CALM Scotland, she can mediate family and child disputes, or support individual clients going through mediation.  She successfully resolves many of her cases through negotiation, where the couple enter into a separation agreement, but also has considerable experience successfully litigating in Court.

Lucia also regularly advises upon preparation of pre-nuptial agreements and cohabitation disputes.

As well as acting for clients in Scottish cases, Lucia represents clients in cases relating to divorce and finance proceeding under English law or in the English courts.
