Nadine Martin
Nadine has an established practice which encompasses all areas of family law and child law, including separation, divorce, financial provision, cohabitation, residence and contact disputes and relocation of children. She is well respected by her peers and is often referred complex cases by fellow solicitors. An experienced mediator, Nadine works with families and couples to resolve financial and child issues in a collaborative way.
Nadine has specific expertise in negotiating and litigating financial provision on divorce in high net worth cases. She is experienced in dealing with cases involving the breakdown of cohabitation. She has experience in wider areas of civil law which increasingly impact on separation and divorce. This includes the valuation and division of business and partnership interests, sequestration, insolvency, company administration and liquidation.
Nadine’s clients describe her as “pragmatic and understanding” and “solution focused”. Nadine’s goal is to assist clients to negotiate beneficial outcomes. But if that is not possible she is an adept and tenacious litigator. She appears regularly in Sheriff Courts throughout Scotland and is experienced in conducting divorce litigation in the Court of Session. In addition, she has been involved in the preparation of two cases which were heard in the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom.
Nadine’s articles on Law and policy are regularly published in legal journals including the Journal of the Law Society of Scotland.
Nadine is accredited by the Law Society of Scotland as a specialist in Family Law, a specialist in Child Law and is an accredited Family Law Mediator. She is trained in collaborative practice.
