David Lee

Director
David Lee Media & Events

David is an event host, podcast presenter, writer and editor who has worked with the legal sector for more than 20 years. He regularly hosts events and podcasts for legal clients, including The Law Society of Scotland. He hosts its New Partner Practice Management Course three times a year and has also worked with the Society on a wide range of different conferences. David is the longest-serving member of the Scottish Legal Awards judging panel.

As Director of David Lee Media & Events Ltd, he has hosted almost 500 events and podcasts in total for a range of public and private sector clients, including almost 350 in-person events. His expertise ranges from law to life sciences, sustainability to social work, and fintech to forestry. David also runs a successful media training business.

Away from work, he is a father of four grown-up children (and Dexter the dog), a passionate coastal rower and a highly vocal footballer of declining ability.

Employers have a legal duty to take reasonable steps to prevent workplace sexual harassment and from October 2026, they will be under a new stricter anticipatory duty to an "all reasonable steps" requirement along with the introduction of employment liability for harassment by third parties.
