Catch up on events to mark World Suicide Prevention Day
On the 8 September we ran a host of conversations on the topic of suicide, to give us insight into some personal experiences of bereavement by suicide, and how to navigate this complex topic. There are three parts to the event you can catch up on.
Firstly, James McFarlane speaks to Nicola Rylatt, who shares her own experience of losing a partner to suicide.
Secondly, we hear Rory O’Connor, one of the leading international experts in suicide research, thoughtfully explore risk factors and informs us how we can help.
Finally, we hear from Anne Rowan about the importance of early intervention and the work of Chris’s House, the charity she set up after losing her son Chris to suicide.
