Olivia Moore, the Law Society’s Careers & Wellbeing Manager, shares our new Lawscot Wellbeing training series, which targets managers with essential skills in supporting teams and developing yourself.
We hear a lot about wellbeing and it being central to a manager’s role. However, being a good manager through supporting people’s wellbeing is complex - it’s not about doing just one thing. In reality, it’s about having a suite of strong people skills and particularly, developing your emotional intelligence.
By working with SuperWellness to deliver a free 4-part training series for managers, we will cover the foundational principles of good practice, and explore a variety of specific topics for you to develop your skills and explore particular areas of interest for you.
You can attend all the sessions in the series to maximise your engagement, or you can pick and choose which sessions you would like to come to. The sessions are designed to function well as both a series and standalone CPD events.
You don’t have to be a manager to attend, as these are universal skills. However, we would particularly encourage line managers to come along, as the actions and approach of line managers is frequently cited as one of the key drivers of impacting wellbeing in both a positive and negative way at work (both in our own research and from other sources).
All events will be delivered for free online, hosted on our Zoom platform. You can explore and sign up to all the events below.
