65 CMS partner promotions include three in Scotland
Three Scotland-based lawyers are among 65 new partners named by international law firm CMS in its annual global promotion round.
David Dennis (Commercial, Technology & Media, Glasgow), Davinia Cowden (Energy & Infrastructure, Glasgow), and Fiona Henderson (Finance Scotland, Aberdeen) have been named in appointments that span 28 cities across the UK, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America.
The 16 new partners in the UK, seven of them women, also include 13 based in London.
"Despite the ongoing challenging times for all businesses both economically and politically, CMS has continued to invest in its people across all of its offices and geographies in which the firm operates", it said as it announced the promotions. "This latest cohort of new partners is a reflection of this."
Penelope Warne, senior partner, CMS UK commented: "We’re delighted to welcome these talented lawyers to the partnership. The promotions extend across a broad range of countries as well as practice and sector groups, reflecting the industries and geographies in which our clients are based and operate. It’s also a reflection of the investment and support the firm provides to its people enabling them to thrive and reach their full potential. We congratulate these new partners on achieving this significant milestone."
