Aberdeen firms Mackinnons and Fraser & Mulligan merge
Aberdeen legal firms Fraser & Mulligan and Mackinnons Solicitors have merged.
Fraser & Mulligan's office at 1 Carden Place, Aberdeen has closed, with most of the partners and staff transferring to Mackinnons' office at 14 Carden Place. Fraser & Mulligan's office in Ballater remains open for business as usual.
Founded 180 years ago, Mackinnons, which also has offices in Cults and Aboyne, merged with Iain Smith Solicitors in 2019.
Senior partner Pat Gray commented: "Decisions such as these are not taken lightly, but we welcome the many new clients that this merger will introduce to our firm. We are pleased that so many of Fraser & Mulligan’s staff have transferred over to Mackinnons, which gives us the support and background information invaluable at this time when people may be understandably concerned about their personal records.
"Our aim is to create long-term relationships, provide effective solutions and to offer high quality expert advice. We are confident that this merger will add to the existing strengths of the firm, without losing focus on the importance of providing a personal service to each and every one of our clients."
