Addleshaw Goddard hires Aberdeen corporate partner
Addleshaw Goddard has announced a partner hire for its Corporate & Energy team in Aberdeen.
Fiona Kindness has joined the international law firm from Pinsent Masons. An experienced corporate lawyer who specialises in advising on mergers and acquisitions and private equity transactions in the energy sector in the UK and internationally, she has particular experience in Africa and the Middle East.
David McEwing, partner and co-head of Energy & Utilities at Addleshaw Goddard, commented: "Fiona is a superb, ambitious lawyer with a great reputation in the local market and we are delighted that she has chosen to join our team.
"Aberdeen is an important hub for a global energy market that is undergoing a generational transformation. The energy transition is creating diverse opportunities for our clients – those focused on energy transition and renewables alternatives and those focused on traditional hydrocarbons who are going through unprecedented levels of change and market consolidation. Fiona's addition means our team in Aberdeen, working closely with our energy colleagues across the world, brings experience and market knowledge to help our clients turn opportunities into positive results."
Addleshaw Goddard's Corporate team was recently named Legal Advisor of the Year at the Scottish Dealmakers Awards. The firm's Aberdeen office has enjoyed rapid growth since the firm moved to its current office at Prime Four in 2019. Managing associate Jennifer Cham and legal director Gemma Hills have also recently joined the team in Aberdeen, which the firm is aiming to double between 2021 and 2023.
