Alastair Hope retires from BTO's Helensburgh practice
Helensburgh solicitor Alastair Hope is to retire from BTO, the firm which three years ago acquired the practice he founded.
Mr Hope set up the firm of Raeburn Hope in Helensburgh in 1982, providing a range of legal services in the surrounding area. In July 2019 the firm joined forces with BTO Solicitors, which has continued to build up the practice, supported by its offices in Glasgow and Edinburgh.
After 40 years in the practice, Mr Hope will retire tomorrow, 31 March.
He commented: "I am delighted to be handing over the running of the firm and our valued clients to BTO. Since working with everyone at BTO, they have shown nothing but respect and the highest regard for providing an efficient and friendly client service."
Mr Hope said BTO had achieved a smooth transition for existing clients, and continued growth even during the pandemic, adding: "BTO’s vision and the continued presence of my fellow partner Kirstine MacRae, who has been an integral part of the firm for almost 30 years, will be invaluable to the prosperous future of this firm."
David Gibson, BTO’s Chairman, said: "We are pleased to ensure the longevity and sustained growth of this highly respected Helensburgh practice and we wish Alastair all the very best for the future."
