Balfour+Manson staff in 100-themed charity challenges
Staff at Edinburgh and Aberdeen legal firm Balfour+Manson have taken on a range of challenges focused on the number 100 to kick off their fundraising push for their new 2021-22 charity partners, Heath In Mind and AberNecessities.
Individuals did 100 laps of their gardens and ran up 100 flights of stairs, while one told 100 jokes online and another danced for 100 minutes to 1970s music, to name just a few of the challenges undertaken. The firm has already raised more than £1,200 from the weekend.
Health in Mind, a Scottish-based mental health charity which celebrates its 40th anniversary in 2022, was chosen after a staff vote. Aberdeen staff chose also to support AberNecessities, which aims to reduce the impact of poverty on children in the North East.
Stephanie Zak, a partner who heads Balfour+Manson's Corporate Social Responsibility Committee, commented: "It was an amazing weekend effort by the firm for #CaptainTom100 – and a brilliant start to our fundraising year. As restrictions ease, we will do more team fundraising activities. They are a great way to promote positive mental health by bringing work colleagues together in shared, fun activities, as well as supporting and raising awareness for good causes."
